Service Description

NOTE: You must have graduated from one or more of our other training classes PRIOR to enrolling in this course. Have you ever watched a competitive dog event on television and thought, "I'd love to try that!"? Join us for the "Intro to AKC Rally Competition" class Thursdays at 3pm at The Balanced Canine! Rally is the gateway drug of dog sports, and our Novice rally course is designed to introduce you and your furry friend to the excitement of competition. You'll learn everything you need to know to shine in novice rally events while strengthening your bond through fun and engaging training. Experience the joy of showcasing your skills together! In this six week session, you'll learn everything you need to know to compete at an AKC Rally Novice competition. Once class is over, you'll be eligible to attend drop-in rally sessions (in January 2027) where students will practice actual novice rally courses and get tips about how to improve their performances. For students who want to continue their journey, the rally competition at the Copper Classic dog show (in Surprise, AZ) is the logical finale. This show is held at the end of January and offers a wonderful, supportive and local introduction to competition dog events. NOTE: No class the week of Thanksgiving.
